The Story

Farminista's Feast was ready to launch their Farm-To-Fork blog, social media and photography business in their new community. They wanted to introduce themselves to other businesses, potential clients and supporters in a creative and tactile way.

They had a limited budget so they wanted to be sure their dollars went to something high impact that would stand out, be memorable, and gain not only new followers but new business. They wanted to welcome people to their business, as if welcoming them to a new community... with hospitality and warmth.

The Box

Because their business was about sustainability as well as food and farming, and because it was a business box as opposed to a personal milestone, Farminista's Feast chose to ship their printed box as the mailer box, with no outer packaging. They wanted to connect visually with their recipients immediately. They were also mailing locally, so felt confident the boxes would arrive safely; they were hand delivering some as well.

The box included both text and photographic imagery on all sides, invoking the feel of the business and its community.

Their box contents included:

Story Card that introduced their business and ethos.
Tea towel with their business name in an organic design
Herb mix (from a variety including several different ones) ~ they loved the idea that, while uniform in nature, the boxes would not be identical in contents.
Packet of microgreens seeds that when planted would produce zesty greens to add to dishes in two weeks
Bookmark to hold that page in a cookbook, with a simple recipe

The Response

This was a case-study sample box, so recipients were fictitious. Suffice it to say that we here at Boxilocks feel confident the recipients of such a box would feel valued, curious, and would definitely want to know more about this new member of their community!
